This is when the Governor signed my bill for safe transportation of railroad workers.  It has become the model for other states throughout the U.S.

Haskell was one of 12 communities selected to receive a Block Grant for 2010. Haskell's award for$50,000 will used to purchase a ladder truck for the fire department! Haskell has been the most succesful City in Saline County in Rural Services grant awards over the last 12 years! Gov. Beebe awards Mayor Arey with the check for $50,000!!
